Terms of Service

1. Who we are
Segnoly (“the Service”) provides billing, scheduling, and automation for independent music teachers. These Terms govern your use of the Service.
2. Your account
You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and accept responsibility for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to sign up.
3. Plans & billing
Segnoly offers two plans: Pay-as-you-earn (no subscription; a 2% platform fee applied to card payments processed through our Stripe Connect integration) and Studio ($39/month or $390/year). The Studio plan is billed in advance and renews automatically unless you cancel. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
4. Payment processing (Stripe Connect)
Card payments from your students are processed by Stripe under your own connected account. You are the merchant of record for those transactions. Segnoly takes a platform fee (2% on the PAYG plan, 0% on the Studio plan). Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement applies to your relationship with Stripe.
5. Your data
You own the data you put into Segnoly: students, lessons, invoices, communications. We process it on your behalf to provide the Service. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t use Segnoly to send spam, process payments for illegal goods or services, or impersonate other people. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules after notice where practicable.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms. We’ll notify you by email and in-app at least 14 days before material changes take effect.
8. Termination
You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. We’ll keep your data available for export for 30 days after cancellation, then delete it unless you ask us to retain it.
9. Liability
The Service is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, Segnoly’s liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the last 12 months.
